What We Collect

CarMonkey may process account details (email address, display name), vehicle information, service history, consultation content, diagnostic details, uploaded files (photos, documents, videos), and billing status. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

We do not collect payment card details. Payment card information is handled by Paddle, My CarMonkey’s payment provider and merchant of record, under their own privacy policy.

How We Use It

We use your information to provide, operate, and improve CarMonkey. This includes delivering diagnostic guidance, maintaining your vehicle records, processing membership billing through Paddle, and sending you account and service communications.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your Records

Your vehicle records, uploads, and generated documents are stored in your account and are only accessible to you. You can export or delete your records at any time from your account settings. Account deletion removes your records and uploaded files immediately and permanently.

Your saved records remain accessible for 30 days after paid access ends so you can export them. After that period, records associated with a lapsed membership may be removed. You can delete your records or your entire account at any time before that window closes.

Data Retention

We retain your account and records while your account is active. Limited billing, fraud-prevention, security, tax, or legal records may be retained after account deletion when required by law or legitimate business necessity. We do not retain vehicle or diagnostic records beyond what is needed to operate the service.

Cookies and Analytics

CarMonkey uses minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the service is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure; please keep your account credentials private.

Your Rights

You can access, export, or delete your CarMonkey records at any time from your account. If you have a question or request about your personal data, email us at support@mycarmonkey.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or through the app before it takes effect.
