Terms of Service

What CarMonkey Is
My CarMonkey provides automotive information, record-keeping tools, guided questions, and second-opinion support. It does not replace a licensed mechanic, shop, or professional automotive advice. CarMonkey cannot guarantee a diagnosis, repair outcome, price, or that a vehicle is safe to drive.
If the information you provide suggests an elevated safety concern, CarMonkey may stop the remote diagnostic flow and recommend inspection by a licensed mechanic before driving. CarMonkey is not liable for any outcome that results from using or not using its suggestions.
Using the Service
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may use CarMonkey only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the service, or use it in a way that interferes with other users or the operation of the platform.
Memberships and Billing
Memberships are billed through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for all transactions. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until you cancel.
Cancellation stops the next renewal. Access continues through the end of the current paid billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.
Pricing may change with reasonable notice. Changes take effect at the start of your next renewal period.
Your Records and Data
Your saved vehicle records, uploads, and generated documents belong to you. You can export or delete them at any time from your account settings. Account deletion removes your records immediately and permanently.
Your saved records and generated downloads remain accessible for 30 days after paid access ends, giving you time to export them. After that period, records associated with a lapsed membership may be removed. You can delete your records or your account at any time before that window closes.
Intellectual Property
The CarMonkey name, brand, software, and all original content on the platform are owned by My CarMonkey or its licensors. All rights are reserved except as expressly granted here.
Records, notes, and files you create or upload remain yours. You grant My CarMonkey a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service on your behalf. We do not sell or license your content to third parties.
Limitation of Liability
CarMonkey provides automotive information to help you make better-informed decisions. It does not provide professional mechanical, legal, or safety advice, and its suggestions are not a substitute for an inspection by a licensed mechanic.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, My CarMonkey’s total liability for any claim related to your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. My CarMonkey is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including vehicle damage, repair costs, or losses resulting from reliance on CarMonkey’s information.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or through the app before it takes effect. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
